We are currently seeking a Safety Manager to take ownership of our safety programs and help us continue raising the bar in the industry.

The Role

The Safety Manager will be the driving force behind our workplace and transportation safety standards. From conducting audits and investigations to leading training sessions and managing WSIB claims, this role ensures our employees operate in the safest environment possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in line with transportation and school bus regulations
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of vehicles, equipment, and facilities to identify and resolve hazards
• Investigate accidents and incidents, oversee WSIB claims, and follow through with corrective actions
• Deliver engaging safety training programs for staff, covering emergency response, defensive driving, and vehicle operation
• Ensure company-wide compliance with local, provincial, and federal safety and transportation regulations
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Collaborate with fleet maintenance teams to ensure vehicles meet or exceed safety standards
• Act as the first point of contact for safety concerns raised by employees, parents, and school administrators

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Ontario Class B driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years' experience and a clean abstract
• Certified Signing Authority with the MTO (required)
• PRIDE certification is required
• Will be required to travel to other locations (Peterborough and Orillia)
• Proven experience in safety management, transportation safety, or a related field
• Solid understanding of transportation regulations, incident investigation, and WSIB processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead effective training sessions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean abstract
• A proactive leader who is passionate about building a culture of safety

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (occasional weekends as needed)

Work Location: In person, Operating out of head Office but required to travel to other locations
