Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist based in Bhubaneswar. The specialist will develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies to ensure a safe workplace. Responsibilities include conducting safety training programs, identifying and mitigating risks, promoting occupational health, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, and inspecting facilities for potential hazards. Collaborating with teams to foster a culture of safety and addressing safety concerns will be key components of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks
• Expertise in Occupational Health and Health & Safety to address employee well-being
• Experience in developing and delivering Safety Training programs
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and motivate safety awareness
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Studies, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 are a plus
• Previous experience in safety roles within the arts or events industry is desirable
