Exempt Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for managing company-wide safety initiatives, coordinating training, and advising on best practices regarding health and safety at NGi . This position supports operations across all branches to identify at-risk activities, develop safer work methods, and reduce the risk of job site accidents and incidents. Through regular regional travel, the Safety Manager will conduct safety visits, facilitate training, and lead the safety team in developing and implementing effective safety solutions. Key Responsibilities Serve as the single point of contact for Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) within the assigned region or area. Partner with superintendents to implement and monitor safety requirements across all assigned projects. Facilitate compliance with Nevell's training and certification requirements. Lead and document incident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Conduct routine project safety audits and ensure resolution of all identified action items. Actively participate in Operations Safety Committee meetings, Foremen's meetings, and other safety-related forums. Develop and implement project-specific Safety Manuals. Ensure 100% compliance with all Nevell safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (federal, state, and local). Promote an Injury-Free Environment by building strong, positive relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and field personnel. Plan and implement hazard mitigation strategies for high-risk activities. Manage safety compliance and performance of Nevell's second-tier subcontractors. Support projects with appropriate safety equipment, supplies, and first aid resources. Serve as a liaison between Nevell, general contractors, other subcontractors, insurance safety representatives, unions, and regulatory agencies. Assist the Safety Director with employee injury management to ensure proper medical care and documentation. Maintain accurate and organized safety documentation and reporting. Foster professional relationships with Nevell team members across all levels—from field to executive. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the ongoing needs of the company. Because NGi's needs continually evolve, the responsibilities listed above may be revised to meet changing priorities. Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience. OSHA certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Strong mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish processes and solutions where no precedent exists. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other job-specific software tools. Supervisory Responsibilities The Safety Manager drives departmental success by: Communicating clear job expectations.
