Safety Officer

Gunther Construction has been in the construction industry for over 50 years. We have a wide range of industrial and commercial experience, with a specialization in foundations and concrete projects. Currently, we are looking for an Safety Officer (NCSO) to work on an Industrial site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew of 10-20 people, complete safety paperwork, lead/attend safety meetings
• Knowledge and daily use of EH&S programs, work processes, standards and procedures.
• Ensure the environmental, safety, IH, and health aspects of operating discipline are applied to achieve EH&S goals.
• Act as the EH&S resource for jobs.
• Be the project contact for all related issues.
• participate in reviews and projects, coordinate schedules and audits, and complete any associated paperwork.

Requirements

• Comfortable in an industrial work site with no supervision
• Previous experience as a Safety Officer
• Leadership, communication, strong written and verbal skills
• Multi-tasking, time management, team player
• formal safety certificate (NCSO)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
