Position Overview

As a Civil Engineering Safety (EHS) Manager or Director, you will:

• Oversee safety protocols throughout new construction and engineering processes, ensuring safety standards are met from start to finish.
• Manage injury responses, perform minor first aid, and conduct root cause investigations on incidents.
• Monitor work behaviors to eliminate at-risk actions and recommend corrective measures.
• Supervise Site Safety Coordinators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Deliver safety orientations for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors to maintain a high standard of safety.
• Establish systems for safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials, including training and spill control measures.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and related tools for safety reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Safety Manager or Director role within construction or manufacturing.
• Understanding of engineering, fabrication, and construction processes.
• Experience across various sectors: commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, municipal, aviation, and multifamily is preferred.
• Required certifications: AED, CPR, and First Aid. Additional safety certifications are advantageous.
