Prime Management Group Inc. is proud to partner with a well-established and respected manufacturing organization to recruit a Health & Safety Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and hands-on safety professional to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives within a dynamic industrial environment.

In this role, you will play a critical part in fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across all HSE programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive safety performance, enhance employee engagement, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives at the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, internal policies, and industry standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Maintain and continuously improve HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance and readiness.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs based on organizational needs.
  • Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Track, monitor, and follow up on safety-related action items to ensure timely resolution.
  • Co-lead Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee new employee safety orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Manage documentation and compliance systems to meet ISO and internal standards.
  • Facilitate and track closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Support risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives (PDCA), and safety audits.
  • Manage WSIB claims and coordinate return-to-work programs.
  • Liaise with vendors for PPE and environmental supplies, ensuring adequate inventory and availability.
  • Maintain clear and consistent safety communication across the organization.
  • Promote a positive, respectful workplace culture focused on safety, fairness, and employee well-being.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation and WSIB processes.
  • Experience working with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead investigations, audits, and training programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Salary Range: $110K +
