Deputy Manager - HSE

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the CGD operations in Balasore, ensuring alignment with Adani Total Gas’s safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for PNG and CNG distribution systems, ensuring proactive mitigation measures are in place.
• Oversee the safety protocols during the installation, maintenance, and operation of gas distribution infrastructure, ensuring zero incidents.
• Lead safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to foster a safety-first culture.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental standards, focusing on minimizing the environmental impact of CGD operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HSE practices into ongoing projects and daily operations.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
• Utilize digital tools and analytics to track HSE performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in safety standards.
• Support the GA Head in achieving strategic HSE objectives and contribute to the overall operational efficiency of the Balasore CGD network.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance HSE performance within the gas distribution sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment roles, preferably within the oil & gas or energy distribution sectors.
